Steve and Elizabeth Skipper founded Firestarter Ministries, Inc. with a defining purpose: to ignite global revival in partnership with the local church. Their journey began in 1984 when, while pastoring in Dallas, Texas, they received an unmistakable call to world ministry.

 

Their first assignment was formidable: planting churches in Argentina, where evangelical Christians represented only 4% of the population. Undeterred, the Skippers leveraged television to reach thousands and successfully planted a vibrant church in the Patagonia region.

 

This groundbreaking work led to a major designation in 2005, when they became the first Assemblies of God Global Evangelists. This opened the door to worldwide church planting and significant outreach events. Through television broadcasts, their message of hope has since spanned four continents and reached over 100 million households across Latin America and Africa. They have witnessed thousands begin a new life in faith and ensured that new believers had the opportunity to connect to a local church for discipleship.

 

The Skipper's present focus is on fueling global revival fire by identifying, equipping, inspiring, and leading this generation of Christ followers to obey the mandate of the Church and make disciples in every nation. They are calling on every believer to join them, as they confront empty religious traditions, expose cultural hopelessness, and courageously bring the message of true hope and revival to our world.
